IMPORTANT – Due to field rules, you must show your AMA card.  If we cannot verify your AMA membership, you will not be allowed to fly.

RULES

SPOTTERS

All pilots must have spotters. Spotters will be LOS to comply with AMA and field rules. Spotters will also be responsible for counting laps.

Pilots will be spotting for each other, just like we do with quad races.

CLASSES

We will be running 2 wing classes. FPVWRA Spec Wing class and Beginner class.
VTX: 200 mW 5.8GHz w/ raceband

RACE PROCEDURES

Starting the race:

All pilots will launch their planes. Once all planes are in the air, a 10 second countdown will commence. The race begins when the countdown reaches zero. Any plane crossing the start/finish gate early must go back around and hit the gate.

Flags/Gates:
All flags and gates must be passed in the proper direction.
If a flag or gate is missed, the pilot must go back and complete the missed flag/gate.
Maneuvers such as split-S or Immelmann are mandatory.
Races will be 5 laps each. First to complete all 5 laps wins.
We will have at least 1 practice round so everyone gets a chance to run the course before we start.
Qualifying Heats:
We will run 2 qualifying rounds, scored as follows:
1st place – 10 points
2nd place – 7 points
3rd place – 5 points
4th/5th – 0 points
Pilots must complete all 5 laps to score points! If you crash out, you get a score of 0.
After the 2 qualifying rounds, the 4 pilots with the most points advance to the final race.

8:45am – Pilot briefing and safety briefing
